Fashion has seen loads of collabs that characteristic kid-friendly manufacturers: Coach x Disney, Loewe x Spirited Away, Uniqlo x Winnie the Pooh, and to not point out the numerous, many Hello Kitty collabs. Yet, no earlier collaboration tops the whimsy that’s Christian Cowan x Teletubbies.
British designer Christian Cowan has teamed with British tv characters, the Teletubbies. The hit 90s program options 4 iconic characters with TVs embedded into their tummies and antennas atop their heads. There’s Tinky Winky, the purple chief with a triangle antenna, Dipsy, the inexperienced straight antenna character, the cheerfully yellow Laa-Laa with a curly antenna, and the little Po, who’s pink with a circle-topped antenna.
The limited-edition assortment options graphic tees, hoodies, and denim printed with pictures of the favored characters. There is, nonetheless, a standout within the assortment – knee-high Dipsy boots adorned together with his head atop every shaft.
The marketing campaign, shot by Oscar Ouk, sees the long-lasting child’s quartet posed alongside fashions Emily Unkles and Matt van de Sande in a 90s-inspired shoot.
The unique campy capsule is likely one of the few that also encourages enjoyable throughout the style trade and solidifies the playful foursome as cultural icons.
