Kidney Foundation Presents Latest Men’s Fashion Show

A bevy of local male celebrities will strut down the runway in support of the Kidney Foundation.

The Sarnia-Lambton chapter is hosting its Annual Celebrity Men’s Fashion Event on Thursday night at the Dante Club.

Organizer Elaine Hayter said it is the event’s 10th and final year.

“The guys that are involved this year are very excited to finally get out there. We wanted to do this event in May and that didn’t happen. We are looking forward to this – to have some snacks and raffles,” she said. “Thursday night is definitely going to be a lot of fun. VIPs get front row seats and the rest of the seats are around the track.”

Tickets are $60 and doors open at 6 pm at 1330 London Road.

Hayter, who retired from the Kidney Foundation in June, said she had to come back to help organize her favorite event.

“We’ve done very, very well with this event over the years, and we borrowed the idea from our London chapter. The committee that is in place has been in place for all 10 years.”

The eight models participating this year include Anthony Tofano of Tji Multi Trade Contractors, Chuck MacKenzie with MacKenzie Oil, JD Power of Ron Clark Motors; John Vargo of Sarnia Chiropractic, Sarnia firefighter Roy Eddleston, Ryan Straus of Nova Chemical, Dave Pellegrini with Sign Here Graphics, and finally Mick Jackson of Assante Wealth Management.

Hayter said there will also be raffles, a live auction and his famous wine chest up for grabs.
