A deadly shooting in the 1900 block of Cochran Road in Scott Township on Wednesday came after a Taco Bell employee was disciplined by his manager. Several emergency vehicles could be seen in the Northwestern Mutual parking lot near the intersection with Greentree Road. This area was closed for hours but has since reopened. Two sources with knowledge of the situation told Action News 4 of Pittsburgh that a man ran into the building and another man, giving chase, followed him inside and shot him to death. The shooting happened just after noon. Police confirm officers found a man shot in the lobby. The shooter then fled. Our sources say the victim and shooter have no ties to the Northwestern Mutual building. Lebanese police are searching for an armed, light-skinned black man with yellow hair, dark clothing and facial hair in the vicinity of Benihana on Greentree Road. Police said they don’t believe the suspect is in Mt. Lebanon, saying there is no threat to the community.
