VMware Explore Europe 2022 Announcements

IBM showcases innovations in quantum computing

During its 2022 IBM Quantum Summit, the tech giant made more than 10 announcements showcasing its new quantum computing hardware and software, including its new 443-qubit IBM Quantum Osprey processor, the company’s largest quantum processor. The chip is three times larger than the Eagle processor announced last year and includes multi-level wiring to reduce noise and improve stability.

CISA publishes new vulnerability management guide

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has released its guidance on Stakeholder-Specific Vulnerability Categorization (SSVC), a new vulnerability management methodology that assesses vulnerabilities and prioritizes remediation efforts based on operating status, safety impacts, and prevalence of affected product.

The agency calls the implementation of the SSVC a “critical step” in advancing the vulnerability management ecosystem. Together with its catalog of Known Exploited Vulnerabilities, the Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) machine-readable security advisories, and the Vulnerability Exploitation Exchange (VEX), CISA says it is helping reduce the window that security actors Cyber ​​threats have to exploit networks.

Zoom, Verint add new integrations

Zoom made several announcements during its Zoomtopia 2022 event, including an expanded partnership with customer engagement company Verint. The companies will integrate Verint’s customer engagement platform with Zoom Contact Center, adding to an existing integration between Verint’s data management solution and Zoom Phone and Meetings.
