Versace Womens and Men’s Runway Show Fall-Winter 2023 Set for Los Angeles – The Hollywood Reporter

In March, Versace will join a growing list of luxury fashion houses eager to stage runway shows in Los Angeles. Two days before the 95th Academy Awards on March 12, Versace will reveal its men’s and women’s fall-winter 2022-2023 combo collection in the City of Angels.

“For me, Hollywood is both a place and a state of mind. It’s about storytelling and magic, power and vulnerability, creativity and emotional expression,” said Donatella Versace, designer and creative director of the brand, in a statement. “It’s a perfect place for Versace.”

Versace’s show on March 10 will take place two days after a Celine fashion show, as that luxury brand’s creative director, Hedi Slimane, has also selected Los Angeles as the backdrop for his upcoming winter collection. Dior also recently made an appearance in town, with Gucci’s “Love Parade” taking place in front of the TCL Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard in October 2021, while Ralph Lauren took over the Huntington Library for a fashion show, the first in the West. Coast, which was attended by Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, among other stars, last October.

Given the brand’s longstanding relationship with celebrities and acceptance of pop culture, Versace’s decision to show up in Hollywood, just as the red carpets are being laid out at the Dolby Theater and outfits are being designed in preparation for the telecast of the Oscar, it feels appropriate. Some of Versace’s most recent red carpet credits include dressing Blake Lively, Cardi B, Lena Waithe, Lily James, Olivia Rodrigo and Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade at this year’s Met Gala and Ariana DeBose, Colman Domingo and Olivia Cooke at the Oscars last year.
