Viola Davis attended the Harper’s Bazaar UK Women of the Year Awards in London on Thursday, wearing a black dress with a fringed neckline. Davis took home the Icon Award for her long-standing achievement as an actress with roles spanning screen and stage.
In honor of the ceremony, Davis wore a black column gown with a one-shoulder strap criss-crossing the bodice with black and purple fringe details from Armani Privé. She accessorized the look with a pink clutch bag and a pair of black and purple statement earrings.

Davis worked with celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart to create the look. Stewart also works with Jessica Chastain, Zoey Deutch and Amanda Seyfried.
For makeup, the actress opted for a night-ready look, which included a bright tinted lip, a bold blush, and dramatic eye makeup, which included a combination of smoky black and pink eyeshadow, intense eyeliner, and conspicuous mask. She wore her hair cut short and parted to the side with slight waves at the ends.
