Women and Hollywood is tagging its 15th anniversary having an inaugural awards season function: Celebrating Creatives in the Industry, going down on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the particular CAA Screening Room in Beverly Hills. Celebrating Creatives inside Industry has been created to highlight together with celebrate women filmmakers who may have exhibited extraordinary work in the last year.
The event includes a panel discussion within the challenges and opportunities dealing with filmmakers today, featuring owners of some of the particular best films from the honours season. Moderated by Rebecca Keegan, Senior Film Editor at The Hollywood Reporter, the particular panel will include Kathlyn Horan, overseer of “The Return of Tanya Tucker – Featuring Brandi Carlile”(Sony Pictures Classics); Sanaa Lathan, director/actress of “On the Come Up” (Paramount+); Maria Schrader, director of “She Said” (Universal Pictures); together with Domee Shi, director and writer of “Turning Red” (Disney/Pixar).
“Over the last 15 years, Women and Hollywood has been amplifying the voices of women creatives,” said Melissa Silverstein, Founder of Women and Hollywood. “It has been heartening to see a recent shift in the industry, but we still have far to go particularly for women of color. Storytellers matter. Different kinds of stories matter. I am grateful that we are able to celebrate some of the best stories and storytellers of the year.”
